Alabama principal threatens to cancel prom if interracial couples attend:

At an assembly held at Randolph County High School in Wedowee, Alabama on Feb. 24, 1994, principal Hulond Humphries said he would cancel the prom if any interracial couples were planning on attending, and called one student who had interracial parents a mistake. The following day, the decision was reversed by the Wedowee Board of Education.

New Hampshire man arrested for assault after being uninvited to prom:

According to the Concord, New Hampshire Monitor, on May 3, 2008, police arrested a Concord male for assault decision after a girl decided "to uninvite him from her prom."
